:p Frenchy!
August 11th, 2008I would like to formally gloat for the US and it’s win in the 4x 100m relay. The French relay team and their loud mouths earned every bit of their SECOND place.
(France is to the Olympics as Yankees are to baseball)

This is a photo taken by Robert Brown is of Mike Parson’s riding the the biggest wave of the year. I have added a little visual perspective on this 70 footer. Pretty cool!
Note: I originally posted that this photo was taken by David Troyer… It was not. My Mistake. Check out Davids amazing photo’s at troyerimages.com
Is getting really expensive and it will get more expensive. $4 a gallon is next. Then five. Soon, it will be 10. What can we do? Not use it. Although that may not be a good plan for the immediate furniture it will soon be the only option. So what can we do now… Use less.
Update:
$5 a gallon is weeks away
If there was ever a job you wish you could have… this might be it. Dave Rastovich is a professional soul surfer. What does that mean? That means, he gets paid to surf and by “surf” I don’t mean contest, I mean wherever the waves are good, wherever he feels like it. With bonuses for photo’s in magazines Rasta (as his friends affectionately call him) gets by just fine these days. Who Bankroll’s this profession… Billabong.
A pair of crossed up W-NW swells hit Blacks Beach today. This was the result.
Cool Video… check it out.
Go buy it. It’s good.

Although previous entries may have led you to believe that the writer had used, touched, seen or even listened to the Apple iPod HiFi… They had not. But now, thanks to St Valentine, I am the proud owner of a beautiful iPod HiFi. This simplified approach to the home stereo is nothing short of amazing. In my home, it has replaced a Philips MCM530 “micro” shelf system and despite taking up 1/3 the space, it audibly outshines the Philip’s system (which is not a bad stereo) hands down. As a result of owning this stereo I have begun digitizing my music collection, something I never thought I would do. Now all I need is a CD polisher to repair my “durable alternative to cassette tape” collection.

Andy Warhol (1928-1987), arguably the most influential American artists of the 20th-Century, utilized silkscreen printing as a medium for his artistic expression. The Jordan Schnitzer Family Foundation has generously lent the San Diego Museum of Art over 125 of these Warhol prints. From the 1967 Marilyn Monroe print suite to the 1986 Cowboys and Indians portfolio, this is a great opportunity to see such a wide spectrum of complete print portfolios by Warhol.
